Before and After Bathroom Transformation

Our very own Schmidt Custom Floors Designer, Jill, has been doing some renovations to her 38 year old house. The previous owners loved the more traditional look for their home, but Jill prefers a more transitional style. She has been spending her free days painting almost every room in the house. In a few rooms she has also torn down some wallpaper to give the walls a fresh new look. In the pictures below we will show you a before and after of her latest transformation, the Powder Room.

Before and After

The Powder Room was an easy place to start. The small size made the updating less costly and could be done quickly. The room started with floor to ceiling wallpaper that turned out to be not so easy to remove. It also had the original oak vanity, and sheet vinyl flooring. After fighting to remove the wallpaper, Jill decided it was best to cover it up with bead board and painted it white to match existing trim and doors. She also replaced the vanity and mirror, and hired our expert installers here at Schmidt Custom Floors to install a 4" hexagon tile on the floor.
