Make your home warm and inviting during the winter
Time to get cozy!
We hope your holidays were enjoyable! Now it's time to settle in for the winter. Once we've cleaned and put away all the holiday decorations, our homes sometimes feel stark and cold. Let's explore some cozy ways to chase off the winter chill.
Decorating ideas to make your home inviting and warm.
Textures give spaces depth and interest. Try adding a few pillows or knitted throws on your sofa and chairs. Add some greenery in woven or metal containers. Change out a coffee table for an over-sized ottoman or a vintage trunk. Add a tray and drape with a small throw. Nubby neutrals in grey, charcoal and tan go nicely with nearly any style of décor. Using mixtures of organic elements, such as sprigs of evergreen, pine cones and berries are an inviting touch in even the most contemporary homes.
Here's a Fun Idea
Imagine it’s February and the forecast calls for more snow (or sleet and rain). Why not have a few friends and family over for game night? Set up a s’mores station and roast marshmallows over the fire. Lay a blanket or thick, cozy rug on the floor with lots of pillows and “camp”. We carry an amazing selection of rugs to help you complete your rooms. Click here to book a showroom appointment. We'd love to see you!
Change the Color, Change Your Mood
Color can change everything! Consider painting walls a deep color, like teal, moss, chocolate brown, or charcoal. Afraid of color commitment? Try painting just one wall. You can always change it later but you may be surprised how much you like it and paint all the walls.Enjoy the comfort of being in a cozy, inviting home. Before you know it, Spring will be here! Honest. 8-)
